The concept behind Buuma is based on a new trend started with the conversion of the well know Air Tractor spraying aircraft into a relatively cheap, and very sturdy attack aircraft.
The airframe is a modified version of a fixed-wing heavy-duty agriculture spraying with more than 3000 units flying worldwide. Buuma has a<150kg payload capacity (depending on the required endurance).
As a fully Tier 2 aircraft, Bumma complies with the following key basic specifications:
- Offers the max. possible payload capacity for an aircraft with 330kg of max. weight.
- This airframe is so rugged and resilient that it has an expected life cycle of 30 years, while it can be patched after being shot by enemy fire, and redeployed in a few days.
With inner structure built with North American Spruce, a light wood with excellent compressive and bending strength, withstanding heavy loads without breaking or buckling. The external fuselage is made of carbon fiber and playwood, and extra layers of fiber and Kevlar undreneath for kinetic protection.
Buuma is very light, sturdy, and designed for short takeoffs, and bumpy landings, aiming at maximizing payload capacity. It is carried in a trailer, and quickly assembled in the field.

Gimbal for Day/Night

- The geolocking and geotracking capabilities are highly accurate gyro precision, for targeting with proximity fuze mortars (or even better with Precision Guidance Kits).
- The rig insert for the gimbal will be rear to the kinetic payload, away from the engine.
Kinetic cargo shelve
- Buuma has two payload bays:
- Bay 1: H600 x L700 x W500mm, and
- Bay 2: H450 x L500 x W500mm.
- Carries aluminum alloy shelves with multiple mortars in each cargo bay, preloaded and installed from the top of the UAV, making it easy to handle.
- The release control system is already integrated with the autopilot, and the gimbal data.
